Room Attendant

Description

The primary duties of attendants include the following: 

• Cleaning, maintaining and organising spaces before, during and after a guest's stay 

• Washing and dusting the furnishings, stairways, bedrooms, and other public spaces 

• Polishing windows, sanitising bathrooms and vacuuming carpets 

• Making the beds and changing the sheets and towels as the organisation directs supplying and managing items for guests, including refreshments, snacks, glass cups and bathroom facilities 

• Discarding materials from rooms, such as trash, trays, dishes and other food service items 

• Loading cleaning carts with sheets, supplies and amenities for guests 

• Informing other hotel staff if anything requires replacement, such as a bulb or an appliance 

• Obeying hotel or motel rules and keeping a private, secure space 

• Maintaining high standards for sheets and discarding any damaged supplies 

• Offering customer service and responding to inquiries from visitors reporting if rooms are vacant
